Frequently Asked Questions
What primary services do you offer?
I provide individual mental health counseling for adolescents and adults.
What do you specialize in?
I specialize in helping women and teens struggling with anxiety, depression, grief + loss, trauma, new life adjustments, relationships, and career counseling.
What are the rates of your services?
One 50-minute session is $140.
I do not accept insurance. However, I can provide you with a “superbill”, which acts as a receipt, that you can submit to your insurance provider if you’d like to seek reimbursement. It is advisable to call your insurance provider prior to your session to ask about “out of network” benefits to learn more about what they could potentially reimburse.
Do you offer online counseling?
Yes! I offer online counseling sessions, which can be a good alternative for clients who don’t live in Birmingham, are unable to meet in person, or simply prefer doing therapy from the comfort of their home.
Why online counseling?
Online counseling provides flexibility for both me and you. It cuts down the time spent commuting to an office and hunting for parking. For some people, particularly those who feel a lot of anxiety, coming into an office for counseling can be anxiety provoking. Online counseling helps you to feel at ease in session from the comfort of your home.
What are your hours?
I’m available for counseling sessions during the late afternoons and evenings, which can be especially convenient for those working or attending school during the day.
How do I schedule an appointment?
Please fill out the contact form, and I will reach out to you for an initial consultation to ensure I am a good fit for your needs. From there, we will schedule a time that works for you.
Where are you located?
My office is located within the Practice Works building in downtown Birmingham, AL. The office address is: 2208 University Blvd., Suite 102, Birmingham, AL 35233.
